Thus asks this advertisement for a postage-meter. I don't understand the connection -- is he angry because she metered his postage wrong? Or because she refuses to let him buy a postage-meter?Via boingboing.

because she (his secretary) refuses to use it. the original advert (i found one in an old Life magazine) has several paragraphs of copy that tell the story. she relents when she realizes it saves her time, thus giving her more leisure to "gossip with the girls."
